Investment · What The Department Costs

What Salon Marketing Costs.
$10,000 to start, then 3% of sales.

One price for the whole department — all six revenue leaks, sixty-five checks, built and managed. Less than one front desk hire. Before 2024, SEO alone was enough. You ranked, you got found, clients booked. That era is over. Google's AI Overviews, ChatGPT search, and LLM-powered discovery changed how clients find salons — and most of your competitors are still playing the old game.

The Shift That Changed Everything

Search changed in 2024.
Most salons missed it.

In 2019, a salon with decent SEO and a Google Business Profile could dominate local search. The bar was low. The results were predictable. A basic monthly retainer bought you keyword rankings and a trickle of leads.

Today the same money has to do something fundamentally different — because the way clients find salons has fundamentally changed. AI-powered search doesn't just rank websites. It reads them, summarizes them, and decides whether your salon deserves to be mentioned at all.

Pre-2024 — The Old Game
A basic retainer used to buy...
Basic keyword rankings on Google
A few blog posts per month
Google Business Profile setup — set and forget
Monthly reporting PDF no one read
One point of contact, slow email response
No automation. No AI. No platform.
Generic strategy — not salon-specific
2024 Forward — The New Standard
The same money now has to cover...
Traditional SEO — competitive luxury keywords
LLM/AEO optimization — AI search visibility layer
GBP management — active, not set-and-forget
AI platform — lead capture, automation, CRM
Schema markup — structured data for AI parsing
Reputation system — automated, real-time
Human support + training — ongoing, not one-time

The salons that win in 2025 and beyond are the ones that are visible to both humans and AI — showing up in Google's AI Overviews, being recommended by ChatGPT when someone asks "what's the best salon for hair extensions near me," and converting that visibility into booked appointments through automated systems that run 24/7. This is not optional anymore. It's the table stakes.

Separate vendors, no one accountable for the full picture. An estimate, not a quote: the two software lines are current vendor list prices, the service lines are market ranges.

Your Investment

One price.
The whole department.

No tiers. No locked features. No add-on menu. Every engagement gets the full department — all six leaks, built and managed — and the fee is a percentage of your sales, so it stays the same share of your business as the business grows.

Calculation: annual sales × 0.03, divided by 12. Re-indexed once a year on your trailing twelve months. There is no annual rate increase — the only thing that moves the number is your own growth.
Less Than You Pay Your Front Desk
Not a slogan. Here is the arithmetic, with the source.
One front desk hire
$42,479/yr
$39,460 mean annual wage for receptionists and information clerks, plus 7.65% employer payroll tax. Before benefits, PTO, turnover, or the weeks the desk sits empty.
Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics, May 2025 (SOC 43-4171).
The whole department
$22,500/yr
3% of $750,000 in sales. Website, SEO, AI search, GBP, listings, reputation, CRM, automations, AI front desk, reactivation, reporting, training, strategy.
Calculation: $750,000 × 0.03 = $22,500.

Your front desk answers the phone when someone is standing at it. The department answers at 11pm on a Saturday, fills the gap in Tuesday's book, and goes back for the client who stopped coming in March. And we get paid on the visit we bring you, not on the fourth or the tenth time she comes back. That lifetime value is yours. We do not keep earning from it.

What the $10,000 covers: the build. Website or full rebuild, CRM configuration, every automation sequence, lead capture, reputation system, booking integration, schema, listings cleanup, and migration off whatever you are on now. Charged once, at the start. What the 3% covers: running all six leaks every month after that, with a named human on each one.
A Department, Not A Service

You can hire one thing.
Or you can hire the department.

Every audit we run works from the same index: six leaks, sixty-five named checks, and a named source for every one of them. A one-off vendor buys you one row on that list. The department runs all sixty-five, every month, and reports against your revenue.

The one-off service
One vendor. One row.
A social manager posts. That is one check inside Brand.
An SEO does keywords. That is part of Visibility.
A web designer ships a site. Nobody wires the booking path to it.
The booking software sells you ads. Nobody owns the result.
Four invoices, four logins, four people who each blame the other three.
Nobody touches Operations, Systems, or Reactivation. Ever.
When it does not work, there is no one to ask why.
The department
One team. All sixty-five checks.
Brand — 11 checks. Titles, metas, positioning, price transparency, one identity everywhere.
Visibility — 14 checks. GBP, map pack, reviews, citations, organic and AI search.
Conversion — 13 checks. Taps to a booking, site speed, schema, lead capture, service pages.
Operations — 8 checks. Analytics, tracking, speed to lead, scripts, the single point of failure.
Systems — 12 checks. Domain, hosting, access, plugins, the vendors still billing you.
Reactivation — 7 checks. Lapsed clients, rebooking, follow-up, referrals.
One invoice. One team. One number to hold us to.

From GHL To WordPress To SEO To AI

Four vendors' work.
One team, one price.

The CRM does not talk to the website. The website does not talk to the booking software. The SEO does not know what the automations say. Nobody has ever seen all four at once. We build all four and we run all four, which is the only reason they line up.

01 · GHL
CRM, pipelines, automations, forms, calendars, reputation requests. Built for your salon, not a template.
02 · WordPress
The site, the service pages, the location pages, the schema, the booking path. Yours, on your domain.
03 · SEO
Organic search, GBP, the map pack, citations, and the neighbouring towns nobody in your market has claimed.
04 · AI
AI search visibility, plus the AI front desk that answers the call, the text and the DM at 11pm.
What The 3% Does Not Cover

The short, honest list.

Everything in the department is in the 3%. These four are third-party costs that get paid to third parties, at cost, only if you want them and only after you approve them. They are not upsells and there is no margin on them.

Who You're Working With

Michele Matkovich —
the salon owner
who built the system.

"I built this because I needed it and it didn't exist. I tested it on my own floor before I ever touched yours."

There is no one else in the country doing exactly what Michele does — because she built it from a place no agency ever could. She is a salon owner who became a technologist. Not a marketer who learned about salons. A woman who scaled her own locations, sat with the P&L, managed the team, served the clients — and then built the system she wished had existed.

She started building automation systems in 2016, tested every one on her own floor before touching another salon's. She's worked with elite salons across the country, helping multiple earn their own Salon Today Top 200 wins. Her obsession is the intersection of SEO, AI, and luxury salon positioning — nearly a decade in the making.

Answers Before The Call

Pricing questions,
answered straight.

How much does Fully Booked AI cost?

$10,000 to start, then 3% of your sales billed monthly. The $10,000 is the build — website, CRM, automations, schema, listings, reputation system, AI front desk and migration. The 3% runs all six revenue leaks every month after that. No tiers, no locked features, no add-on menu. At $600,000 in annual sales the monthly fee is $1,500. At $750,000 it is $1,875. At $1,000,000 it is $2,500. At $1,400,000 it is $3,500.

Why is the fee a percentage of sales instead of a flat price?

Because the cost to serve a business scales with the business. A salon doing $1.1M has more listings to work, more content to produce, more calls and texts through the AI front desk and a bigger database to reactivate than the same salon did at $672,000. Indexing the fee to sales keeps the fee and the cost to serve moving together, so the service never quietly deteriorates on the clients who grew the most. It is re-indexed once a year on trailing twelve-month sales. There is no annual rate increase and no cost-of-living letter, so the only input that can ever move the number is your own revenue.

What do I get for 3% of sales?

The whole department. All six B-VCORS revenue leaks — Brand, Visibility, Conversion, Operations, Systems and Reactivation — which is sixty-five named checks run and reported every month. That covers the WordPress website, SEO, AI search visibility, Google Business Profile and listings, reputation, GoHighLevel CRM and automations, the 24/7 AI front desk, reactivation campaigns, ads management, daily support, staff training and revenue-tied monthly reporting.

How does that compare to hiring someone in-house?

One front desk hire costs about $42,479 a year. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics puts the mean annual wage for receptionists and information clerks at $39,460 as of May 2025, plus 7.65% employer payroll tax, before benefits, PTO or turnover. Three percent of $750,000 in sales is $22,500 a year for the entire department. And we are paid on the visit we bring you, not on the repeat visits after it. That lifetime value stays with the salon.

Is this coaching, a course, or an ads agency?

None of the three. This is done-for-you execution. We build the systems, we run them, and you keep them. Organic search and owned systems are the engine. Ads management is included in the fee so you stop paying your booking software for it, but ads are a line item, never the growth story.

Is there a long-term contract?

No long-term contract. Month to month with 30 days notice. The build fee is charged once at the start, and the systems that get built belong to your salon.

What is not included in the 3%?

Four third-party costs, all passed through at cost with no margin and only after you approve them: paid media spend that goes directly to Meta or Google, press wire distribution fees, award submission fees, and publications that charge to publish. Everything else in the department is in the 3%.

Who is this for?

Owner-operated salons, spas, med spas, barbershops and beauty businesses with real revenue and a real client database, where the owner is the bottleneck and knows it. It is not a fit for a pre-opening business with no database, for an owner who wants coaching or a course, or for an owner who wants paid ads run as the primary growth channel.

Ready to Close the Contradiction?
Your service is five-star.
Your systems should be too.

The gap between what your salon looks like on the outside and what's running it on the inside is costing you $12,000–$26,000 a month in missed rebookings, ghosted leads, and silent churn. Let's close it.
